Hi all, here goes with the pics.

This car I bought in late 1987 as a 16 year old for $250, I had another qtr guard but in the end it was to rough. This was a rolling shell. I still have this as a spare.
image.jpgimage.jpg
A couple of weeks later a rolling body shell( no motor, gearbox or front panels ), was in the local paper for $1000.i had a HJ statesman caprice as a parts car and after four and a half years she was on the road in June 1993.this is my road registered car coming up to 20 years on the road.
In 1995 I was looking out for a unmolested HQ GTS coupe and found this one , he wanted $4,500 and I sat on it for three weeks and he wouldn't budge on the price so I relented and purchased it.i haven't touched this one and look to get her on the road soon.

I know these are not your sandman type vehicles but a very close relative,I love to own a sandman and I'm sure it would be the same the sandman owners would love a monaro. But I share this with you guys and gals as the site has a good feel about it and so much info that is so handy holden wise.
Cheers

Very nice cars indeed that red coupe looks like it has LTD tail lights or are my eyes playing tricks on me.
At one time that was a common mod. That and a second HQ brake light in each bar were very common mods. Oddly, there has been spike in the numbers of rear bars with LTD lights on ebay over the past couple of weeks. I've seen possibly three or four.
Welcome Monman, thanks for sharing some pics of your ride!
