HZ Sandman prove me wrong

I beleive i have a HZ Sandman that is not the run of the mill ute and before you reply please note there are 2 sandmans in mackay with XX7 on id tag and they are both fitted with bench seats Factory fitted and are L20 High Compresion 202s with paper work origional owners.And can you tell me why i have a L as year on tag is this rare

Gday Tex.

Anomalies in plate details have been recorded especially in Brisbane built vehicles ('tink yours is Adelaide with the A at the end and L4 as the line). Can you post pictures of all three plates so that people can answer your questions based on those instead of having to ask for addtional details?

You have just posted the tag numbers but you are worried about fraud by posting the photos? This does not make sense.

HZ Sandman's were V8 as base model to have an optioned 202 for a Sandman is just plain weird.
Byron and/or Leroy can shed more light by your PSN.

Happy to help and no I haven't been scammed about a car you're right. Unless when you count the time I bought a 2nd hand Camira.

OK I got home and looked at the photos of the plates you sent through (bigger screen than my phone).

The HZ plates you sent through is not stamped XX7 on the body plate, it is an Adelaide built commercial ute trimatic. The reason you have an L is because that is the sequence of codes for dates to match 1979.

D – 1974
E – 1975
F – 1976
G – 1977
H – 1978

I - is excluded because it looks like a numerical one.
J - 1979
