Dromana Drive-in Saturday 21st January

You might remember the classic Aussie surf film Morning of the Earth (I do!). Here's your chance to see it again on the big screen with a touch of nostalgia and live music to accompany the soundtrack.

The guys putting on this event http://www.morningoftheearth.com/ have the great idea of a 'sea' of Sandman's lined up at the drive ins during the movie and concert.

They are also looking for a couple well presented Sandman's at various media events - these would most likely be for static display.

I'm sure HZsandman, JB and a few others would love to get on board

Awesome surf movie, I have it on dvd.
There is also a great book on MP - Michael Peterson that people interested in those times should read.

It's funny, I just recently took my van to the dromana drive in with my wife for our anniversary to relive our two month road trip cruising to a lot of the breaks that feature in this movie!

I would love to attend this night, but it would seem I am already double booked. Bugger!
I will have to see if I can get out of them. ;)

I would definitely be interested. Have free time in my diary and would be ok with all dates if they want my van for each show. Fine to go down to Dromana for Drive in night as well.

'Sea of Sandman's' was the promoters comment not mine. I am speaking with him tomorrow and will get more details on the media event which will be held in the evening in the city the day before.

The latest information;

Was wondering whether we could have 2 PVs for this Sunday 15th Jan to be down for the Dromana Drive In Gig. Time, 11.00am at 109 Melbourne Road Rye for a couple of hours to be a part of some promos involving parking at the various back beaches and having bikini clad girls handing out Cds and Flyers.

If you are free at such short notice, please contact me asap so I can pass on the email address to get back to the promoter.
I was advised you will receive comp tickets to the gig.
