engine number for a wb????

hey guys

ive just bought a wb pano and had a look at the plate with the mosel number and engine and transmission number on it, i have had a look on the site at the identification just out of intrest. the engine number is "L36" can anyone tell me what this means as there were no numbers even in the "30's" on the page.

Not sure, I think its a blue 253 they changed the code when they added the 4bbl carb and manifold??????
I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.

From what i've been told, L36 means 253 blue motor hi comp
I believe a L33 is 253 lo comp.

L36 was also shared with the VC & VH blue 253s at the time as WB.

I initially thought it was a unique code for the blue 253 fitted with the 4bbl and HEI dizzy, but VB 253s didn't get all that, and they also had the L36 code.
