About as easy to park. All that effort and you stay with Byron's fave speedo. I think I would of GTS'ed the cabin.

    Not my favourite!
These were built back when WB's were new. Custom Vans and Trucks did features on them in the mid 80's.

know of the chap been on market a few times and sold but seems he keeps it, i wanted it for a club car, but with the mods cant go on club plates ideal for club car use tidy it up pulls crowds at shows on the club stand and can take 4 - 5 members to swap meets etc and bring home the bacon, great car for that

I too am not a fan of the rear dorrs could have been just wagon doors too easy but that silly dicky window looks just plan ugly

Ugly, yes , but probably needed to allow the glass room to go up and down. I like how that one uses the tonner rear cab section. Looks a lot better than the others that seem to be a chopped wagon with a sloped rear window fitted in and the rear wheel arches still on the body.

From memory they used a wagon or Statesman front cut and a ute or tonner (depending upon which you were building) and mated them together. Doors were front rear halfs joined to wagon/statesman rear front halfs. Chassis were 2 x van chassis joined together as vans were a dime a dozen in the 80's, and you'd buy a whole V8 Sandman van for pocket change. I remember a red one where they'd made it a cab-chassis but had made a well back by using a back out of a ute or van and putting a front on it. The concept was basically like an SR5 Hilux dual cab.

I had a red one about 5 years ago. Was built by a guy in port kembla. used a front/rear door combo and shortened back seat. Not much room in the back, but got heaps of attention everywhere i took it.
Rolled it once avoiding another accidend, and didnt bend much really. Strong through the roof splice area, the guy used 2 tonners i think.
