hx caprice i purchased today

got a call from a customers son on friday regarding her 1 owner hx caprice being for sale.i offered to buy it a couple of years ago if it ever came up for sale but she told me emphatically that she wasnt ready to sell..well at 90 years old she finally decided to give the old car away because of its size.she has managed to put a couple of scrapes down the side but i think that adds to the charecter of it.
7/76 caprice with immaculate velour almost velvet looking trim which has always had full seat covers,garaged all its life....all caprice options and abs brake option..full receipts from day 1 and a hand written book from 1990 when her husband passed away..and 187000 klms from new..these are the only pics i took today but will update them later in the week when i collect the car..
she was very happy that i was not interested in wrecking it...as if..hahahaha.plus i payed too much money to do that..

Noice. Not jealous much at all. All I could manage was a Deville. Are those numberplates still valid? Better make sure you keep them on a regoed car so the RTA don't throw them away.

yeh plates are valid,has a couple of weeks rego so i shall put the plates on hold and put it on club rego until i tidy it up and maybe sell it later on..

no i have 4 vans...and a few other toys but i sold my hq ls350 coupe on saturday so i have a space..

no...i have no major love for it...on a plus side my mate has bought her and will be using it in targa tasmania..he has decided to do an hq coupe and run it instead of the 2sm moss/brabham replica torana we have been doing..fine by me..
now before anyone starts screaming about using a genuine factory 350 ls in targa he is going to pull all the original running gear..also will be doing back to metal paint in original colour.
i am advising him on what to do so as not to take any value out of the car and being able to put it back to stock...he has plenty of money and i get to ride shotgun and drive..win win for me coz i wanted it gone..
now to go on the next mission and sell the hq gts 350 coupe and the 69 ram air 3 gto..then maybe some of the vans..

I called dibs on the GTO Ram Air 3, but I am waiting to 'come into' some money :(
