    holden V8 heads

    does any one know if cylinder heads are date stamped like the blocks are i noticed today mine has the clock marking on them but doesnt match the one on the block

    They have a cast date on them, similar to the block. Someone will be able to elaborate, I'm sure.

    Yes they are date coded as are a fair amount of other things as well.

    showing a few old Holden parts with dating on them.

    Heads and blocks would I expect have been cast at different times if not days
    If the heads and block are from a close time frame to each other there is more chance of them "matched" as such.
