    My in-between bike...

I have bought this from my nephew. I have never owned a two stroke before, nor a proper motocross bike. Its old (92) but man I have fallen in love with two strokes!

2 strokes - One of the reasons i have a KDX200 sitting in the shed doing nothing.
Only ever ridden 1 other 2 stroke and it was a ported & polished RG500.
No good to me as i was used to a 4 stroke 900cc.

    Its tempting Mauser!

It hauls in the mid range like no four stroke I have ridden. Don't know how good it will be in the bush, but can't wait to hit my local motocross track which is a sand track!

Shame its nearly a 20 year old bike.

My mate has RG/RD 350/500 road bikes. He is thinking of going for a more user friendly road bike lol. They are his first road bikes too..... talk about a baptism of fire! Especially the 500, which hasn't had its restoration finished yet.

Yeah have heard about them! Don't think I am man enough for that much terror! (in response to ozbox about the 750 triple)

RG's in both the 250 and 500 were more wild than the RD/RZ Yamaha counterparts.

If I had the space and cash a RZ500 in the Kenny Roberts replica would be nice shed jewellery... Right next to the YZ490 I have and the project to build a YZ465G from the 2 in bits I have. Both the YZ465's are matching number which is hard to find these days as they had a tendency to kick back the kickstarter and smash the cases where the number is.

If that CR is pushing your buttons see if you can get a ride on a 06 or newer KTM300. I guarantee your crf will hit the market as soon as it is repaired. I can't wait till KTM release their direct injected TT.
