Just as cold as any new commodore,have been driving around with it on low,to cold if left on high.

Is the install difficult im thinking to do this after panel and paint while dash is out
would this make the job easier
does the unit use a new switch or original one

Install took me a good weekend to do not to difficult,very good instructions included definitely have to have dash out so good time to do it after paint and panel,unit dose use new switch with lots of different options.

so do you remove the complete standard heater box? Does that unit have a heater in it as well? How well does it match up to the plenum chamber?

Yep the old unit tossed over the shoulder.Heater/aircon all in one, stand alone unit,heater also works likes a charm.

Also where did you buy it. I see there is a few sellers in aus. Which kit did you buy? Or do they do a custom kit for Q-B?

Bought it from a dealer in Mornington in Victoria,and yes does a kit for hq-wb including mounts for compressor and altenator

Are you running a efi 5L? If so im told you use a VK V8 aircond bracket and it fits. I haven't tried it as yet.... But do have one. This post has got me more keen to try it now! As im about to rip out a redo my interior anyway!
