A few Q's about Hq Sandman options from new member steve & Thanks to Mook

Here are a few Q's about Hq Sandman options. Was there an option for the radio? Was there an option for the Dash facia Eg wood grain or Fish scale? I have seatbelt stalks & inertia reels, was this an option? Did the seats have the option of Houndstooth or only Black vynal? Last Q. Was there an option for the console. My Van is a March 74 Sydney Build I would appreciate your views on authenticity .

Radio was an optional extra and there were several to choose from.

Dash fascia was machined finish (fishscale) only.

Inertia reel seatbelts were not optional.

    Seats were vinyl only.

Console was standard in HQ Sandman.

You will need to post up your plate details to help ID it and a few pics would help also.

If you want certified original seat belts talk to Seatbelt Solutions in Perth, only certified company in Australia to restore and re web original hardware as far as I know. Have a set with them atm, about $500 for complete rechrome and new webbing. They will come back with documentation so they pass registration.

    Hey Steve,

still the odd good find for HQ parts out there in the country, just need to be diligent and keep the eyes open. Sadly some of the wreckers here in SA seem to just let them rot, they should be stripping all the good bits and storing them.
