I have these two pedals and you can see there is a difference.
The Disc Brake on the left came off an early HJ while the one on the left (I mean RIGHT) from a later HJ... although I cannot confirm if either is original - can someone confirm please?

haha the right in the picture, i spose they are both on the left then lol
I think the one on the left is a HQ so possibly the same as early HJ. My Premier is up on the hoist still or I could have had a look tomorrow.
left earlier than right. changeover?
"All correspondence must bear these numbers"
Late HJ parts catalogue still has 28 HQ number for pedals. HX book shows 99 prefix part numbers, so changeover must be at HJ-HX series change. Possibly/probably some changeover period not exactly at HX release like ADR27A etc.
The one on the left is the exact same one in my HJ Sandman. I don't understand why Holden had to add 'disk brakes' on top of the pedal. Reads like a text book if you ask me...
My understanding on this is that it was the HJ-HX change over as well.
This I believe was at the same time that the boosters themselves were changed from the straight input shaft to the bent input shaft.
I also assumed that the fact that HX had no drum front brakes anymore so no non power assisted cars anymore
that the old peddle to suit the power and non power systems was no longer needed.
HQ/HJ had the VH236 booster for drum front and VH262 booster for disc front which then changed to the HX onwards VH277 booster for the disc front only system.
Cheers Paul.
