    Power steering - details

I'm picking up a power steering unit on Sunday and before I hand over the cash I was hoping to get some details on what I should be looking for to suit my HJ van.
You know me, pictures tell a thousand words for me.. so if you have them I'd be stoked!

What should I look for in regards to parts etc.

box with pitman arm and coupling..high pressure hose not cracked...pump should be early round type not ham tin type..you will need a 2 row or 3 row pulley for harmonic balancer..box should feel smooth to turn not notchy....

make sure you get all the bits required aswell as the obvious as they can add up.

    Bracket + bolts
    Power steering short arms

bolts n spacers for pump bracket to head..

power steering box with pitman arm and coupling.

correct shaped power steer pump for hq to hz with hq hj style pulley.

incorrect pump for hq to hz but correct for wb..this pump is metric threaded and needs metric threaded power steer line.

power steering bracket for v8 in hq to wb..

    --- Updated ---

forgot to get pic of pulley..2 row without a/c and 3 row if you are running a/c..sits hard against harmonic balancer and does not have a gap to first row.commodores have a gap.

Thanks Oz, those pics are a great help. I bought a good power steering kit a couple of months back and as luck would have it, I have the correct pump for my Sandman. My 1 tonner can miss out at this stage!
