3.3 magnitude earthquake in Blackwood early this morning. Up watching 'The Three Stooges' in bed when all of a sudden a roar resembling a passing roadtrain right next to our house started emitting from the ground, then the windows shook hard. Everything didn't seem so still anymore. Then it was over! Did anyone else feel anything??? :knockout:
Yea sorry about that Rolla. Not an earthquake, it was me - wife and I were celebrating in our usual way
I remember the 1989 Lake Macquarie 5.6 Richter scale earthquake well. I was out the front of my house standing on the gutter sanding the deck of my ski boat (sitting on the boat trailer). I had the oribital sander going and had earmuffs on. The ground started moving and my first reaction was that the ski-boat tralier was rolling down the hill (it wasn't attached to a car at the time). Then the quake sat me on my @rse on the ground. Looked up and saw all the ground around me moving. I didn't hear a thing due to the sander and earmuffs but others reported a huge bang and rumbling.
Just another tough 253 starting up....... they make the earth shake.
