Any GMH markings on it? If it is WB I am interested.
As far as I know, its possible to convert a WB electronic ignition distributer to use the earlier points style cap by using a different rotor button from a ford (not sure which model). It then looks close to original, but you never need to muck around with points again.

If it is a GMH one then it is what you need for your HJ. Just put the bits on I told you, short the start & run wires together at the ignition switch and away you go. If no GMH markings it is a cheap Chinese knockoff which belongs in the bin.

So I have an original pre pollution HJ dissy and a cheap chinese knock off HEI.

I'm still looking for a Blue/Black motor HEI dissy for my resto, do you know if they can be bought new which would save me on reco costs?

Yes, those cheap Chinese knock offs!

Just buy an old one and rebuild it. Will outlast the car if you use a new module in it. And never have to replace points again.
