Great to see mook ambientgoat and AN5590 at the swap meet.

I got there before the others and made 4 purchases. A $80 red dissy cap for $5, console mounts for $10 and headlight surrounds.
mook got the buy of the day until an5590 trumped him later in the day with a nice purchase. Ill let them share their loot stories.

I should have got that cast iron gumball machine though!

Yeah it was good to meet up, good to put some people behind the names mook, ambientgoat and yes Blocker you should have got that gumball machine...

As for loot stories and 'buy' of the day well all depends on what you are after but you have got to have some luck sometimes, decided to go back to get a HQ era jack that I had walked past and stumbled on a NOS HQ/HJ van, ute, wagon, stato rear mud flap set for $25, had everything still intact, even those crappy little screw bolts that are a pain to get off the mouthing brackets.

Also noticed that the fitting instructions F.D.077 are dated 10.4.74 but include details for both HQ and HJ even though HJ was not released - they just deleted rear bumper/tail light view from the drawings.

Goat and I headed off up early in the goat mobile, and yes we did do a Hindley cruize at 6am in the morning..
Was great to see Blocker & AN5590.

I had $50 to spend after the $5 entry fee my hopes were low. I was very happy when i found another NOS HZ grill which i managed to get for my $45 lets just say i was happy that goat could spot me for a snag with sauce.

Not as nice as my other NOS grill, bit then again all NOS is not equal. Im thinking that ill use the stainless surrounds for my HJ Grill.

Another great day in all.

Hi, I'm very happy that you guys were able to attend & find some treasures.

...What! ...that old red, cast, gumball machine on a stand that needed the glass replaced...?
