Front Bumper Identification

Hi guys, I have a bumper that I was given with the parts ute I bought.

It is in very good condition. The chrome is good, the brackets are 1/4 inch thick, and there is a very limited amount of surface rust on the back.

I was wondering what it is from??? I know it is from a HQ-WB... I have been told that it is from a WB??? I don't think it is, a the early ones have the same bumpers as the later WB's.

It looks like a HQ-HZ, because of the way it is shaped.

Anyway, I'll let the pics do the talking.

Cheers,
Matt

That would be HJ HX HZ commercial, if it had a rubber it would suit a kingswood. great bumper.

Thanks to thatotherguy and b-rock-05

I thought it was a HJ-HZ.... I was 99.9% sure it wasn't a wb bumper...

Another question, do statesman HJ-HZ bumpers have rubber in them???
Cheers,
Matt

Yes it is HJ-HZ but not just commercial. Also suits HJ-HX Belmont wagon and sedan, HJ-HX Kingswood sedan and wagon, HJ GTS sedan and coupe. Also HZ Kingswood. Only Premier, Statesman, HX LE, HZ Kingswood SL and HZ GTS have the rubber strip.

They won't fit a WB floor though without modifiying the floor or the seat runners.

Okay, next question.... How much do you think the above bumper bar is worth???

I have never looked into HQ-HZ parts... as WB is basically unique... so please be honest, I'm not here to rip people off... neither do I want to be ripped off....
Cheers,

non rubbered bars are very hard to get at all let alone in that condition....

a non rubbered bar in fair condition is worth 80 to 100....
if you did not have one and you needed to get one rechromed thats what you start with..
i just had one repaired and rechromed and cost was 470 plus freights both ways.which made it 500 even.
if the bar is as good as it looks in the picture its worth 250 plus..
make up your own mind what you sell it for.
