BO6 = Rarer then a Sandman
So I haven't been on here for a while, but got some plans for the WB now.
I have this VN sitting at home, which I picked up cheap last year
And it has this under the bonnet, which was meant for my LC but that's going in a different direction now
So plans are to use as much of the VN as possible in the WB. Motor, box, diff etc. Will be made a bit easier with it already having the V6 in it, I imagine.
Won't be starting it for a bit yet, but I'm at work and bored.
So I think I'll stop buying cars for a while, unless they're really cheap. The HB and LC posted above are gone now too.
Picked this up the other day. Balmoral Green LJ S two door. Stock as a rock apart from a couple of minor things. Still got the original 138 in it, which runs beautifully, and 3 on the tree. I'm the 3rd owner and got all the paperwork from new with it.
Anyway, the pics can tell the story:
Yeah I'm happy with it. Not changing anything on it either. I drove it home from Sydney and it drives great. Only just ticked over 97000 miles too.
The only things obviously not original are the brake master cylinder (like most of them), the battery lead clamps, and the washers have been changed to electric. None of which bother me too much. It hasn't had the dash hacked up for a stereo either.
Will have it on historic rego next week hopefully. Be a great thing to get out on club runs.
The engine bay has been cleaned up since that pic too. It's a lot cleaner now.
Yes mate, like it a lot. Nicely done!
Na same house still, Dave.
I know, I meant to keep the leads off that van but forgot all about them.
Nice one. Perfect car for a warm 186 or 202, good sleeper. I almost bought a similar car about 15 years ago, silver metallic with black trim LJ S coupe with a 173 and column auto. Original 50,000kM. It was only $2500 and a gem. But I drove it and vowed i'd never have an LC/J as it was terrible with offset pedals and column at an angle. Wish i'd grabbed it now though. I was planning on getting it and putting a 308 in it but leaving it as it was otherwise.
Now just imagine how smooth a standard injected 304/T700 would be in an LJ.... Hehehe.
Nunc est bibendum...
