hz v8 clutch hook

oi do any of u blokes know the highth of the clutch peddle hook for a hz v8,i have the 6 but looks like from pics it may only be 10mm or so im sure i could just mod the 6 hook instead of spending $80 or so for the v8 peddle.oh yea is a pull type

The hook sits at the same height as the 6cyl. The difference is the pivot point. So the V8 hook sits higher off the pivot by the distance between the 6cyl and V8 pivot points. So look up under the dash and measure the distance bewteen the centre of the pivot holes and that will tell you how much higher the V8 hook sits relative to the pivot.

I'm out in the shed right now. Late HZ or WB V8 has 60mm between pivot centre and dead centre of the hook. If I measure from the centre of the pivot in line with the pedal and use a straight edge the hook centre is 47mm up 38mm forward. This is to the centre of the round bit on the cable that goes in the hook.
