Edelbrock Manifold plus Quadrajet

Has anyone here combined the Edelbrock Performer Dual Plane and Quadrajet?
I'd like some feedback, opinions etc.

great combo. put a small cam in it that starts working @ 1500 rpm to match it all up

Have a read of this. Courtesy of an old Street Machine mag from the 80's. It shows the HT-HJ (als0 LH-6/76 LX) 308 manifold is basically as good as a Performer. Also shows how useless the red pollution manifold is.

Interesting. Where would a blue motor manifold fit into this Byron? Are they better or worse than the "smog" GMH manifold they were talking about?
