    Petrol caps..

There was a discussion somewhere on here a few months ago about petrol caps, saying the old school non locking ones are now rare and valuable. I have one on my van, and Im currently getting some work done. My vans on straight gas and the bloke doin it likes to put the gas outlet out the petrol bit, and cut the cap and attach the gas nozzle screw bit to it. So it looks totally original from the outside but is actually gas. Cool in theory and im up for it. A caps a cap I reckon. Whaddaya think or is there another cap i should sacrifice?

Sell your original on ebay for $100.
Buy a nice similar looking generic one that doesn't fit the "Rare HQ HJ HX HZ WB Ute Pvan GTS Monaro Not Phase3 Charger" for $30
Spend the rest on 2 cases of beer.

Is the HJ sandy supposed to have a non locking cap with the strip across it to open it? Or a stainless one with a lock?
