WTB - Quadrajet for early Blue 253.

I'm after a Quadrajet from an early Blue motor to suit 253.

The code on the unit will be 17059596.

i have found in my loads of stuff here a 17059595...if that works for you its $125 delivered

Blocker, I believe that is a 308 carby that Greg has (well 95 and 96 are 253 and 308 anyway, i'm 90% sure I have them the right way around). All you have to do is get it rebuilt as a 253 carby if it is a 308 one, which is mainly a change in the primary metering rods (I can give you the right number for the rods required for a 253).

Thanks guys I've done more research and 17059596 (6) on the end is 253 and (5) is 308.

I'm watching one on Fleabay at the moment, if it's more than $125 + postage I will get the one from you Oz and get it rebuilt.

Blocker I have two carbys that I found in my stuff when we moved from the farm. I'll look and see what they are a little later. If it's what your after you can have it mate!

The important bit is actually the 3 digit code at the end. For these 2 x carbies CXK and CXL is the code you want (I can't remember which one goes with which number).
