Jacks

I guess this is a good a place as any to post questions about jacks.

I'm looking for the appropriate jack for my 11/74 HJ Sandman and saw these at a swap meet, was reluctant to buy because I wasn't sure what I needed.

i will put my vote in for the red one. Same as my wb one only different colour.

I vote for stumpy as well. Not sure about the red paint though. I remember them being a different colour.

A quick look through the parts catalogue and it is Part #2825179 (Jack and Handle package). Is this a folding type handle?
Where were they stored in the Van and ute?

folding handle, behind the passengers seat. little hidy hole that the jack fits in, handle just sort sits there where it likes.

The jacks were $20 each including handle so I'll pick one up again maybe at Strath swap meet in Adelaide.

didn't the 1 tonner and ute have different coloured jacks? - saw a comment recently out of the volume 6 manual

yes it is the folding type handle and they were stored behind the seat..the fold up handle would sit in first and then you would put the jack in and wind it out a little so it held tight.or mostly everyone just throws the pair behind the seat loose.
