You sound like you're only a young fella, but boy you can weld like a pro already.
I see many great things coming out of your workshop in years to come.

    Nice work there.

Are you changing the front brakes to commodore as well? I ask because the stud patterns on Kingswood and commodore appear the same but there is a minute difference which can put undue stress on the wheel studs if you run the wrong wheels.

thanks guys, yeah your right commodorenut only just turned 17 in may, ive been welding for a while now, its improved heaps since doing the ute im at tafe now doing welding and looking for a apprentship, the thin metal made me very aware of warp and to be careful, the floor went in great tho, when the pannel beater was looking over it i had to show him because he couldnt see it, and hes been a pannel beater all his life, ah you picked me up on the diff, i didnt even think about mentioning the axles, it has brand new axles with hq stud, the axles are meant to be some real strong stuff, chrome moly, because the diff place couldnt get steels i got the others for the same price, apparently its what the put in 9" diffs, it was smooth and silver, not rough like the originals, so i reckon a little old commy motor wont hurt them

    --- Updated ---

hes some more pics there from a few months ago repairing the guards, there going to have the flutes stamped into them

    heres the other

heres the tailgate im going to reskin it, guy near harevy bay qld presses them, same thinkness as genuine, i dont want any tiawanese rubbish, there is nothing on the ute that is non genuine and hopefully wont be
i unpicked the brace so i could get some dints out, but i realy only turned a few bigger dints into alot of smaller ones lol

heres a door i just recently fixed had it soda blasted only to find rust in the bottom, cause i only checked the skin, will be a spare now

donour door, skin was stuffed bottom was good

havent got a finshed shot but it came up good, took me 3/4 day to get it right, but happy, just been polishing the stainless trims from around the windscreen, sill, A pillar and wiper arms

cheers guys, im planning on doing a pannel beating/painting course too as soon as ive finished the welding course, i quiet injoy fixing stuff, even rust repairs, i like doing custom stuff, stuff you cant buy off the shelf, this project is fairly tame modification wise, i plan to do heaps more next time, v8, tubbed, super charged or turbo a 5 or 10 year fiddle when i want project, but visually doesnt look highly modified, all under bonnet, mabey a brock replica commodore or a torana hatch, my ute was meant to be done in may for my ps, but its still a while of yet i reckon itll be next year and it might be getting close

Great stuff Myles! If you keep up the work you might find some members on here wanting to enlist your services to do some panel work for their projects!
Might be a business idea for you seeing you enjoy it so much and look like you know what your doing!
The resto business in Oz is only getting bigger and you could cash in on some of it!

thanks mate, im just about finished with the major pannel work on this ute, im working on getting the whole thing high filled, ive been doing a bit of pannel beating which is good learning stuff, id be up for the challenge but i doubt anyone on here would want some 17yr old working on there sandman, i cant wait to finish mine, 1 so i can get rid of the little camry daily asap and 2 so i can start another project, i think id proabally try find something a bit rough, so its cheaper and gives me somthing to do, yeah a business would be good and i would like to cash in on it:Chin: , just old stuff, metal not plastic rubbish, actually fix pannels not just order new ones,
