    WB V8 Engine Prefix

Gday guys and girls, been looking up engine numbers for the 308's. What would a 1982 WB ute have if it was factory fitted 308?
From what ive found (and it does vary) does WTXXXXXXX sound right? Also were they turbo pattern if fitted with an auto?

    All help appreciated.

Almost 100% sure there were no factory wb 308's. There were a couple of one tonners. If you have a wb with factory l31 plates put up some pics!

no..for statesman it would be 11WT from deville or 12WT from caprice...and either of those engine numbers could have trimatic or t400 or t350 ...his question was for ute/van/tonner so the correct prefix would be WT..there is proof that wb commercials did come with 308 but very rare.

dont even bother trying to find one..just go vt from commodore or the stato numbers..most vt prefix motors are trimatic pattern..

True I suppose, WR for 253 and WT for 308. Just got to find one in the flesh. Might be the rarest Holden of the lot.
