Called in on a HX Sandman - Nice Original Van :)

Well I have known about this van for some years never had time to follow up, was told through a few people where it was and to be honest to scared to knock on in case he said it was for sale and I would have to find funds or sell one of our cars

Anyway Wife after All Holden Day had enough, she has pushed again on looking for a Van, So we were out on Tuesday last week and she drives me over to house where Van is

Old mate wasnt home but I called him and he told me to come back

Wife is woo hoo hes keen - Im shitting it thinking Im not selling the Goon

Go over on Friday without wife

There she is sitting in Driveway ready for me, my mouth dropped, a stock original van sitting out ready for inspection

I walk down to meet oul mate waiting for me, never meet him in person or knew him he was the nicest bloke

    Story of Van

He wanted a van when he was a Appprentice, actually wanted a 4 door Monaro but VAn was on lot, he bought it when it was 6 months old and for his 21st Birthday

He has owned it since then nothing modded apart from taking GTS Wheels off, all there stock as a rock, 190,000 K's

    253 4 Speed

    Instant Porn

I was in love lovely old school original van, not one bit of rust or bibbles original paint and stripes, just like the old girl at AHD

Anyway we get talking cars and his now retired well the old girl is getting a freshen up, I tell dont paint it, you cant buy quality like this

And NO ITS NOT FOR SALE got chattin he wants to keep it, sounds no kids or family but really is keen on going on a run or club outtings

I was so Guttered but happy - to meet him and to find a nice van

Enjoy the pics and hope you didnt mind the story

PS wife is pissed and still looking for van and Goon is safe for another day

Windows were put in by dealer not factory, rear gate sticker faded off years ago, so removed, inside and out clean as a whistle, rear never really seen a day in anger - work life that is

Yes would be nice to have bought it for 5k but he knows what he has got and good on him

Atleast I made another VAn friend
