I recently upgraded my S1 SV6 Sportwagon to this pretend Sandman...

Its a 2011 S2 SSV ute in Karma with an http://amcat.com.au 'Sandman' canopy fitted.

Are there many other members of this site that own these new vans?
I am looking to have the rest of the back carpeted and a few stereo mods etc also in the back.

Would be interested to see what else is out there...maybe discuss other peoples experience removing the rear dividing window etc.

I looked hard at getting one, but they wouldn't give me what I wanted for the Hilux. I would leave it how Sandmans were originally intended though (as a ute)!

Nice. I've been trying to persuade my sister to get one for her SSV (just in case I end up with it when she upgrades at 3 years old). No luck yet.

These are made by the same company that Holden outsourced the HDB ones too. They also made the concept Mambo canopy and also make the new divvy van ones too.
Can't fault it at all, even the inside is carpet lined. Think they offer a 3 year warranty on it too.

As for the ute part, they come with a plastic tub liner as standard these days and the tailgate has it installed too.
Have heard another guy got one of these fully carpeted (over the top of the tub) for around $600 and it looks the bomb.

I'm going to have rear speakers put in too and connected to the IQ head unit also.

They look really good to me, there are a couple getting around here in the VZ model.

The VEs should start trickling thru soon. Mine is number 52 in the VE shape and I believe there are approx 400ish VU-VZs around the country.
(Most being in VIC as they are made here and they cant find anyone in other states to do the installs for them) They are permanently bonded on.

Holden needs to remake the van, none of this bolt on type stuff, a full metal bodied van, the ability to climb through to the through to the back...the whole shebang
