wanted not pano but for old corolla

if anybody has any of the following, or knows where any may be, we are after an engine for an AE71 corolla, and a manual gearbox with pedal box. engine is most important. but we need all. OH bought a cheap daily which we need going asap, which is currently auto AE71 with either blown head gasket or cracked block. nto sure yet. but putting feelers out there.

I've gotten 2 of those for free this year. We use them to practice J turns and other stunt driving activities out at the farm.

I would think that by the time someone pulled a engine and box out they'd probably want half decent money for it, then you still have to swap them over into yours. I'd chuck some Silver Seal in first. I've gotten another 2 years on a Falcon with a couple of tubes of that stuff. Otherwise buy something thats good to go. Dunno what the market is like over there but people give away old cars for next to nothing over here. I got a 98 V6 magna with 170K and couple weeks rego for $300 a few weeks ago.

It might have been our sons old one

did it have a very bad clutch?

Nope. Auto 1 owner. Lady was selling for her dad who'd handed in his licence. New tyres, new battery. They just wanted it out of the driveway.

they are hard to find here, and very expensive!! we did pretty well for $400! and body is in good nick. and interior is clean as! i think they just cooked it feb this year. headgasket will be easy fix. OH is wanting to drop another motor in it now though. but really really need a pedal box! if theres a cheap manual whole car that is all good, and running, we will travel interstate for it. the 1.3L are a dime a dozen, but wanted 1.6. well OH, cheap daily to get to work and back. the patrol will chew through a bit too much diesel, and tyres as a daily.
