    Speakers in ute

    Hi everyone,

almost done my sandman ute resto, just wondering where i should place the speakers. head unit is where the original radio was, good fit too.

If you have a ute please let me know where your speakers are, post a pic if possible!

    Behind the seats? Kick panels?

    Thanks

I know mine is a van, but i'll be putting subs behind my seats (on the floor), and did have small speakers in the kick panels.

Mine are mounted in the steel part of the door. Not real good if you are worried about your door trims or want power windows, but best spot for sound. Kick panels are not real good unless your feet have ears. Otherwise as Agro says, sub behind the seat.
Utes suck to fit speakers in and keep the trim original. I have seen one on here that had split speakers in the dash vents. Might work OK with a sub behind the seats.

yeah, not keen on ruining my original door trims!!

how big is the sub behind the seats?

an option could just be to have speakers in the kick panel areas and smaller subs behind the seats.
