Im having trouble with a colunm change auto, the lever at the top of the column just flops around and wont lock into gear. The only thing I can think of that could be wrong is the plate at the bottom of the shaft where the shaft has the right angle bracket has been put in the wrong way and when the lever is released into gear it is riding on the flat side not the side with the notches. So... should the notches be on the firewall side or the front side of the column ??
