    Headlining Colour for HJ Sandman

Hi all I'm wanting to know the original colour headlining for my hj contessa gold sandman. Long story short, my dad brought the van new back in 1974, he has now pasted it on to me. The trouble I'm having is that the car has all black interior, an as it starting show it's age I'm want to replace it. I so far managed to take the headlining out but I came across the sunvisors, and they are covered with just black vinyl, as per the factory seats door trims ect. I have taken the vinyl off them an it has reveled that the sunvisors are actually chamois in colour, an even still have the Holden sticker on the driver side one. They are genuine with the original pattern as the headlining.

Question: so does this mean my cars headlining is suppose to be all chamois, with black seats, carpet, doortrims an dash. Note this car has been in the family it's whole life, an I'm not sure if my dad changed it to black after he bought it, an just covered the sunviors in vinyl.

Any help would be a big help, thank you.

my hq sandman had neutral headlining..this would what you would be calling chamois..most black trims in hq hj did have neutral roof lining and yes the visors should be the same material as the roof lining..

Cheers, I just want to keep it stock, an was going to do it in black coz that's what was in their with original pattern an everything. But as the sunvisiours are netural, I was not sure what the proper colour was for my HJ.

What I meant to say but forgot to type is that my HJ is 19v like yours but the headlining was neutral.
