    Running on/anti dieseling

My wb is at again, running on after its switched off. How do I fix it, is it something to do with the anti dieseling solenoid?
Its a blue 253 with quadrajet carb.

    Running on/anti dieseling

High Idealing speed is the usual cause. Use the anti dieseling soliold to set the ideal speed & wind the ideal screw so that it is just operating.Set the ideal speed to 450 /500 RPM

    Red face

I thought it was the timing being too advanced!
Maybe that's why I'm in Glass and my mechanic goes to Tahiti every year!

I'am with you gaddy timing to advance. I also agree with oz that putting it in gear and letting the clutch will also solve it

Thinking it could be shit fuel. Filled up last couple of times in town with ULP and I normally use premium so that could be it.
Yeah stalling it is a solution, but its just so uncool in such a cool machine...... says the man who quite often goes to town with his shirt on inside out
400-500 rpm idle is too slow for me. 800 works well, especially with AC. Not a big fan of it stalling at the lights when the AC cuts in and then having vapour lock and winding it over for 2 minutes to get it to start...... been there once and thats enough.
