Came across this on eBay. Apparently HZ panel vans were optioned with a roof vent. The seller states but is unsure that it is an original Sandman option. I'm really curious now because personally I've never seen any Holden panel vans with a roof vent. Then again, I'm only half the age of most of you. What do you Sandman veterans think? :Chin:

It looks more like something from a caravan.
They used to put similar things on Bedford vans back in the day, but never saw one on a pano before.
Might make a good carby scoop though.

I've looked through the HZ parts book and cannot find a reference to this part. Also part does not appear in the package option for 'Vic Police' Nov 1979. I'd say these were out of factory fitted, probably at the Police garages.
