Sandman restoration, and Ferguson Storage Shed

Rodney, Michael, and our apprentice, spent yesterday, and Rodney and I today building a storage shed for our Vans, and Tractors, Furphys, and all other special things down in our yard.

He will fill in the back and concrete in between each container to make garages....and there will be a roof go over the entire lot...

Noice. I'm doing a similar thing for the "house" out at the farm. I've got 2 transportables spaced 5m apart and we'll put a roof between them and fill in the ends to make a good sized family room. One transportable is already decked out as a large bedroom and the other has 3 rooms, one for kitchen, one for bathroom and one for a kids room.

Hmmmm, thinking that may be a good way to build a grain shed. Clever Rodney!

Good stuff. I was hoping you'd put up some photo's with the roof on.

Are you going to paint Sandman stripes down the side of that shipping container?

Now that would be a good idea, I would like to paint the shipping container at least...

Power and water on, and back filled in

Today Rodney and I filled in the back of the shed, and during the week the electricians put power, lights, and Rodney connected water...Next are the swing out style doors which Rodney and his brother will build.

    Finished shed

We spent the last couple of weekends, concreting between each container, and out the front, we now have cleaned out a container, and turned it into a workshop, Rodney and I got a very early Xmas/birthday present and bought some equipment eg. Welder which is both stick and mig, air compresser, vice, car jacks x 4, trolley jack, electrical wiring set..and a bench, and he made a stand for the grinder which I painted...We will be making doors this week...and the caravan will move in also...oh and most importantly No1 son left his fridge here, so now that will be a beer fridge....

Now we can finish red van, and start on the Fergies....

Cool, great setup Jennie and Rodney makes me want to extend my workshop. Ive got the sparky coming in the next couple of weeks to supply more power to my workshop as I have outgrown the power supply to it.

    Cheers Dave
