    Help with some ID

Gday, can anyone help out with the ID of this van?
    Model:HZ8WM70
    Trim:1926-63V
    Paint:568-30517
    Eng: L32 Trans:M20 RRaxle: GV4

    GVW: 2000kg
    Seating Cap: 2

    8M70RJL427425Z

Just wondering if it's a Sandman or not? It's got a full headlining the correct welded attachments at the rear.

    Cheers Alex.

    Thanks Adam.....appreciate the help mate.

    How can you tell it's a XX7 ?

Just wondering if you have any bucket seats, interior door panels and kick panels for sale?

I spoke to you a while ago and I knew you had a few holden parts for sale.

    Cheers Alex

As long as the BODY plate displays BODY number 427425, build date is 9/78 or 10/78 and the chassis number is close to BHZ33000A then you most likely have a complete HZ XX7. The main giveaway is the 2000kg GVW.

    XX7 is 2000 kg, rarer XU3 is 2200 kg.

I can understand the GVW 2000kg, build date and the chassis number being close to acertain number but why does the body number HAVE to display the numbers 427425.

    Cheers Dave

I am sure I have read somewhere that some Adelaide built commercials had body numbers that did not match the ID tags due to them having chassis built in Sydney and bodies built in Adelaide. Correct me if I am wrong?:errf:

Correct. Adel it wasnt until early HZ that the body number started matching the VIN. This goes for all models not just utes and vans. Sedans etc etc.
