i didnt want him to buy it but he wanted it and now i love it, its factory V8 Tbar ,bucket seats,GTS dash and wheels( including steering wheel ) so next best thing to a monaro and silver with black trim ,would have been a very nice car in its day but he cant drive it because of the new p plate laws here . Always loved HQs both 2 door and 4 doors ,my dream car would be a HQ van with HJ GTS dash and injected 5 litre painted sunburst

Interesting indeed. The owner of the wrecking yard charges $10 to enter and takes the entry fee off the cost of parts if you purchase something. Most things have been picked to death but it's amazing what is there. Models range from the 1920's to present and it does take a couple of hours to have a good look around. Sounds like the wreckers Jindy side of Cooma, that's where my original mint julep Hx Sandman went after we had a crash in it, saw Aus Crawl at Merimbula on their Final Wave tour about '86.
Haven't been that way for a long time but there was a bucketload of wrecks to pick from.
