    Thanks for all the helpful advice; managed to remove, re-bush & re-fit the springs without injury!

    I've always thought that a safe way to go about changing things is to replace the same order that you've removed. But it's good to see so much more advice here on the thread that I didn't get to thinking yet. Good thing I haven't needed to actually start working on my car just yet. I'll have a chance to use some of those good tips the next time I do though!
