    Torana seats

Well these seats I got are in such good original condition I have decided to restore them rather then just use the hinges on my Sandman seats and throw the rest away...

The plastic seat backs are fairly good so I will have a go at repairing the cracks, broken bits and extra holes.

This section had been hit pretty hard and was pushed in, I heated the area and massaged it back into shape then welded some of the cracks to keep it in place.

The drivers side back plastic is also broken along the bottom so I will fabricate some patch pieces to repair this area.

The hinge plastics are in good nik except for a missing upper left piece. The hinges just need a clean and the runners and springs the surface rust removed and painting.

    others

A trimmer would know but somebody here may also,I have a few different bucket seats here (hj,wb,hr) but not the hq ones im after. Hj bases appear the same can I adapt or use the backs off any of the others? Just would save me the $300-400 people seem to be asking for them and I'd have that money towards the trimming.

    Thanks

Thanks fellas, Didnt know the HR seats were worth anything so thats good news.
Ill keep looking for some cheap Hq ones as suggested, but im in country Vic so freight I would expect on a bulky item like seats to be a killer from Adelaide and areas further, (confess I havent enquired though). Ive got family in Melbourne which helps getting stuff but usually higher demand for everything. like you say though ill keep watching never know yer luck.

sell the hr buckets and you will still have money left over after you spend the 3 to 400 for hq seats...ej to hr is what they are and generally will fetch $550 plus...
