Look good GTS. The original paint ones I have were painted black first and then the silver over the top so the back of the rims and where the tyre goes is black. The other sets I have appear to be re-paints and are all silver with the black painted in last as you have done.

they look great, we painted ours this week as well, you must be up to the same stage as we are with resto...so is ski man by the looks, so we will all have to meet up when our vans are finished....

After 4 months at my mates shed doing rust and dents it looks like it will be home in the next week or so. We've got the bottom half of the right hand guard and the bit just behind the left hand door to go. It's been a long haul working on it every night for 4 hours a night and most Saturdays and all day Sundays but it should look the goods when its finished.
I am soooooooo over rust and I can guarantee that this van has none...ANYWHERE...

I got the tyres fitted up today and did a trial fit of the new centre caps. Like most RS parts I was a bit disappointed but nothing I cant fix....again.

Anyway, I'm about 4 weeks behind schedule but who cares...it's been worth the wait and it even looks flash just sitting there in undercoat.
More pics soon as we progress to the painting stage....cant wait

After 7 hours sitting in the back of the van I finally got the black sound deadner stripped off. What a **** of a job. Now to get G'ed up to do the other side....and the floor.

    Right hand side

    Left hand side after stripping.

That's why we went with the carpet on the walls. I tried to get a small spot off and it was ludicrously difficult.

Great patience and hard work, well done.

I thought about just leaving it and getting panels made to cover it.....but a little more thinking and that wasnt really what I wanted. I'm going for the "just off the showroom floor" look.....or as near as I can get to it, and cover panels dont fit the look.

Right hand side and front floor panel are done. It's taking a bit longer than I thought, but whatcha gunna do? I also found some bog in the r/h wheel tub but thats no biggy. The r/h side had a front lower 1/4 panel replacement at some stage and they joined it thru the middle of the wheel tub.
