This may be a little bit of topic, but would that engine/gearbox combo be the rarest in HQ and HJ sandmans??

173 trimatic or 202 trimatic. Then 308 trimatic. Followed by 173 M22 (HQ) or 173 M20 (HJ). Then probably 202 M22, 202 M20. Then 308 TH400. 253 trimatic.
I maybe off to look at a HJ 308 auto (factory) so would that be a trimatic or turbo 400 in a HJ
TH400. That is what I want! HJ L31 M41 in Kingswood XX7, with A/C and steer. Preferably in white, yellow or sepia.
"With Respect", it is kind of funny for me to read these responses to an ebay add, for an Auto HZ Sandman ute for sale. When they were new, there was no way any self respecting young guy would ever buy an auto, let alone one with air con and power steer. They were grandfather car's....and now, because of those fact's alone causing the rarity, people will climb over each other to buy one, if one becomes available that is.....Ahhhh, I wish I had bought an auto and kept it, although I would never have lived it down back then.
"Proud To Be An Old Fart".
collecting is not about the common stuff like 253 4 speeds from the day but about the uncommon stuff from the day..:knockout:
myrb.com.au
