    Clean paint from id plates without removing them ?????

    My HZ sandman Ute has had all the id plates painted is there a way to safely remove the paint without destroying the plates..

    I was thinking soda blasting?????
    Are they all meant to be paint free ???

    Will be interested to see what the answers are here, on Brisbane built vehicles the body plate is painted the other 2 plates aren't. I don't think any of the other plants painted the tags? I'm sure those that really know on here will confirm or not...

    mask them up and use a small brush and paint stripper. I have used paint stripper on many many tags and never hurt them. Just dont leave it for too long I guess!

    Acacia Ridge have both BODY and VIN plates painted. Leave them alone! Only the ADR plate is naked.

    Paint thinners on a rag will take it off. Prepsol may work for light overspray.
