I have a minor problem which I have been ingoring for a while.
A leaky speedo. Mainly when it is warm inside the car oil will be dripping on my foot from the speedo. One drop every now and then.
Anyone have a solution, It's a 72 HQ btw.

The speedos don't have any oil in them so it won't be a leaking speedo......
It is most likely transmission fluid running up the speedo cable and dripping out from the back of the speedo where the cable connects.
The most likely cause is an overfilled transmission.

Haven't filled trans fluid so dunno if that is the problem. It has been dripping for some time now. Could it possibly be anything else? A broken seal maybe.
the speedo cable should have a rubber seal at the bottom in the box on the very end of the cable..also should be another at the top where it goes into the speedo head...if these o ring seals are broken/not there you will get oil travelling up the cable and then drip on your legs/feet....seen it plenty of times...easier to change the speedo cable which would be $25 for a second hand one or around $75 new..i am presuming its just a trimatic/aussie 3 or 4speed?...same cable.
