Nice addon Sean. Was going to look it up but parts books are still packed away in a box somewhere from the move!

Yeah, I thought that was the case as mine is sandpaper type with the lower the same (or close) colour.
Did the seats and door trims change colour and grain type as well because mine were the long grain type before I tossed them in the bin?

Yes seats did change. Door trims Im not sure.

Seats went from long grain (V or X) trim. To commodore grain. (short grain) (C or T) trim.

Ok, I still am a little confused. My reply above was incorrect to Absinth.
I have a 10/78 build with 63V trim on the tags. So I got the V and C mixed up. The reason why was because I do have a "Sandpaper grain Dash" as per 63C.
Here is a couple of pics including the build date of the pad.

The date is 9/78 one month before the van build date so I believe it is original. So I am confused here. Can anyone help with this query?

Also I now have some seats and am looking at getting the armrest recovered. I was given a sample from a trimmer and I think this is the later 63C trim. What do you guys think. Here is a pic of the sample next to the bottom of the console arm rest and seat.

If the dashpad and lower fascia are original to the car I'd say the trim code has been mis-stamped...63V instead of 63C.... right on the change over .. what's the bet it's a Brisbane built car????

Brisbane built? Yep! See my Avatar! But the console arm rest you can see in the above pic is the original. The seats aren't, but from what I remember they were the same.
So when exactly was the change over date?
I am 99% sure the dash/glovebox are original. The whole interior was dead stock with no signs of anything been changed or played with. It was all fairly worn out but.
Here is the placard on the inside...

placard is correct and unique to the HZ XX7 sandman. So would say its original.
