Thanks to a fellow GMH enthusiast I will soon have complete HJ, X and Z features manuals and ordering procedures. This will allow me to further complete sections of the book.
You lot are going to go ape-sh!t on some of the Sandman data and original documentation that i'll put in there. It is looking more and more like a 300 page novel! Currently it is written with heaps of references to appendicies which are ordering procedure extracts, original brochures etc. It'll have parts catalogue scans etc too. All will have to be Holden approved first though. It may all have to be re-formatted though if it becomes a magazine in the AMC style where there are breakouts to the documents.
Back to the data, just the trim and paint sections alone will really open your eyes. Then get to the GVW and tyre chapter. I have firm dates for lots of changes, and others are estimates.
At some stage in the future i'll be looking for pictures of bits and pieces too, like complete original engine bay photos. So if you see survivor cars (not restored or altered)for 1974 through to 1979 with original engine bays see if you can get hi-res photos ie magazine quality. Any photos I use will be credited to the photographer. There is other stuff I need too, but I have gotten most of it from wrecks in Greg's yard. I'll post it all up as I get further.
Keep on moving on......
