Where did I say the yellow van was a HQ? Looks very much HJ to me. Looking closer possibly the HQ may have GTS badges not 350 transfers on the guards?
C'mon Agro, you can't possibly be serious that the HQ sedan/coupe rear bar on that HQ van looks OK! I worry about you guys sometimes! Each to their own though......otherwise there'd be no such thing as Fords, homosexuals, cat lovers etc!!!!!! I must admit though, my mate has a HQ wagon rear bar on his HZ XX7 Windsor blue van and it looks quite good, it is the HJ-HZ wagon bars and the HQ sedan/HQ-HX coupe rear bars that look kinda out of place to me.

    Byron or anyone,
The HJ on the cover and the Ewet both have tail lights with a fine silver pin stripe on them. Are they from a Statesman, premier or what?

TwoTees I'm sure it was mentioned earlier in this thread on page 1. The chrome surrounds are probably off a Prem.
Yep just checked and it's in post #8.

I think you'll find the colour is actually white. From memory these are HQ-HZ Kingswood wagon, ute, van, HQ Statesman or HQ-HZ Premier wagon tail-light lenses (someone correct if i'm wrong). The chrome surrounds are off HQ-HZ Kingswood ute or wagon, HX-HZ Kingswood van, HQ-HZ Premier wagon or HX-HZ Sandman.

I have always thought that doing the ewet stripes would be cool. Just vinyl cut not printed due to the costs.

Byron I would be keen to see any pics you have of them. Im happy to wait for the book though =)

    Cheers

In all the sandman brochures I have not seen a lens like the one on the right. The ewet has them and the HJ on the cover. It is silver. The artificial light made the photo look blueish

EDIT: I have come to the conclusion that the one on the right is HQ Statesman. I can't find a brochure but a few pics of HQ Statos I found have them including a picture from a 1974 MM Mag.
