I have luckily got a QR range engine in the shed. I guess now my rebuild will focus on on that engine. Thanks all for clearing that up.

Can any one give me some Kw stats for the high compression engines (QR RANGE) I have heard at they were around 120 kw factory.

Thanks all for the great info,

    Peter

    SAGE Green HZ resto.

    Hi All,

Just an update on my 11/78 Sage Green Metallic Sandman restoration.

Also a word of thanks for those on the forum that talked me out of selling my baby.

    Before

    After ( Minus Blackouts )
    IMG_0418.jpg

I am desperately looking for very detailed blackout photos.

I have found a few forum posts which great but I need some more detailed pics if anyone has the time to post some that would be very cool.

    I need photos of:

    Around doors
    Arround sills
    Sills
Rear tailgate when in dropped position.
    Front window blackouts (trim)

    Thanks again everybody,

    Peter

    Hi Peter
I thought of you the other day as I was in Wagga for the weekend visiting my kids, and thought I would have liked to go and look at your progress...If you have a look at all our threads to do with our van, you will see pics of blackouts...if that isn't enough I can take some pics next time we have the van out, of exactly what you want and from what angle if you let me know....alternatively I can email you some of our Red van before we soda blasted, so PM me your private email address so I don't have to upload to photobucket....

    Cheers J
PS we will likely be back in Wagga the weekend after this....

Well.... I guess I'm stuffed if I want HZ DY4 sandman details..... Thanks Holden for totally Fouling this up.

Rare spares can go and jump if they think I will ever use them! Cheap chinky reproductions!

Well thankfully Sage green vans actually look really great with DL7 on them, so don't worry, something may happen in the future...we are greatful we got ours before, but if we buy this mandarin red HX on Fri it will also have to have DL7 for a while too...

Nowhere it is a delete option...told to me by Byron...meaning it looks nice without stripes, and if we buy the red ute it won't have decals on it either due to not being able to get them atm.

So did the DL7 option still have the blackouts? I am a tad confused now and I need to let the painter know very soon... Any help greatly appreciated.
