the plastic bit is common..the splash tray is what you have pictured..
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but could someone give a list of things to look for to identify if my ute may have had the outback pack. Mine has the strengthening bars, but appears to be missing the rest of the pack. The ute had undergone modifications here and there before I bought it, so they may have been removed? Any means of identifying if any of these parts were removed?
Go back to page 2 of this thread, to my post on 2/3/11. All you need for HZ XW5 is there.
Note that HJ XW5 also had an enlarged front lower control arm rubber.

HK, I had a read through the list, and as I said, some of the parts listed are not fitted currently, or in the case of options F72 and K45, lack the knowledge to identify those parts, or any indicators that they may have been fitted in the past. Are there any such ways to identify if the were fitted, such as bolt holes, etc?
Cheers, Evan.
K45 is just a heavier duty 6cyl aircleaner, memory is bad in this area but it may only be a heavier air cleaner element. F72 is really just 1-tonner springs from memory but these bolt straight in. F72 also includes stone shields on the shocks on commercials so maybe look for these. Have a read here too:

Thanks,HK. It looks like my ute probably wasn't fitted with the outback equipment pack. I've only found the bracing rods on it so far. Currently lacks mudflaps, splash guard and 1 tonner springs. still unsure about the air cleaner as I have not yet opened it to check.
Air cleaner only applies to 6cyl too. Bracing rods are on all of them and aren't part of XW5.
