would like to see some more info about this sad old van if anyone knows anything.
thanks gts
If you were the person or persons who put hundred of thousands of dollars into that van in the day you would be horrified....poor old girl you can even see part of the mural on the side....
HZ Jasmine Yellow Windowless Sandman, now being driven everywhere and is finished!
HZ Madeira Red Windowless sandman now Sold to Bigrob
HX Mandarin Red Sandman Ute finished, and club registered
1979 HZ malachite windowless van with 308 5spd, all chromed up and shiny finished and named "The Player"
Married to RodneyHZ253
What a heap of junk! Probably not worth saving even if it was a HQ Sandman, not without another shell.
I doubt there was hundreds of thousands put into that one. Look at the welds and the "fabricated" pieces . If you look close you can see the one piece tailgate - 2 tailgates attached together with 3 plates of steel that aren't evenly spaced apart. There must have been a bit of hiding some of that workmanship.
Maybe I'm just being picky cause I read StreetNeats coupe and panelvan builds start to finish the other day. Now that guy is a panelbeater.
brought it yet AGRO?
"All correspondence must bear these numbers"
I can't recall seeing van's with the higher roof bit, maybe I did, but can't remember. I did attend plenty of car show's back then.
"Proud To Be An Old Fart".
im going to have to have a scour through my vanwheels mags and see if anything looks close
I swear I've seen that van in a vanning magazine! :Chin:
Wow, that is ready to return to the earth.
And here I am worried that with my welding I occasionally leave a pinhole or two...
I don't know if I like the welding where the rear bar was, or the heat warped lowered roof least.
Wow... just wow.
