    New NSW rego rules coming

    Have a read....I believe that NSW RTA is pushing to have these new rules in place before the March election.

    Doesn't look too bad, at least it isn't stupid like QLD where you have to get a plate if you add factory buckets or the like. The biggest issue will be the addition of a modification plate. Big ask for a show or similar vehicle.

    It also means no injected motors in an early model car.

    The way I read it (and i am no doubt wrong) is that modifications not on the exemp list will need to engineered? So something like a fuel injected motor out of a vs into a hz would need a engineers certificate?
    More rules and regs we dont need I imagine.

    Where does it say that GTS? In NSW we have always needed an Engineer's Report for say a VN engine into a HQ. You have always been able to put an injected top end on a HT-HJ block and put into HT-HJ but never been able to do this for HX-WB. As far as I can tell this won't change. We will be able to fit bigger engines under the national rules, but we won't be able to fit 8" rims to HQ-WB anymore. The biggest allowable will be 7" (well 7" plus 15mm) without an Engineer's Report.

    It says the engine has to have been an option for that particular car.

    That is for modifications exempted from Engineer's Certificate.

    Yeah and it list standard motors available by the manufacturer as one of the exemptions. So a fuel injected motor would not fall in this exemption meaning it would need a certificate. As for where it says you cant put them in an older model at all I have not found.

    I always thought that you could go 1" bigger diameter and 1" wider.
    So because WB Statesman had 15 x 7, you could go to 16 x 8 without engineers.
    BO6 = Rarer then a Sandman
