We ordered some armrests 8 months ago, and they are still on backorder, maybe they are trying to make them a better way, am not sure of that one.

Okay Rodney home now, there was some problem with the side rear blinker inserts, I had to grind a lug off one, so it could be turned over because they didn't make a right left one, also therere was a hole in the red clearance light end of this insert so I had to cut a small piece of steel and glue it on so the lense didnt fill up with dust...
Jennie,

I got my reproduction armrests from the dashboard doctor in Melbourne and think they are very good quality. As for the dress rims, I found out the hard way recently as I sliced through my chamois and fingers!!!:hurt:

Nice work Les, thanks for sharing pre production shots with us and great to see Rare Spares still supporting the HQ-HZ restorers... there are lots of us out there.

Thanks for the pic, Q set was interesting to see that it is all in one piece and includes under the glass to include vents. All those good spots that moisture, bugs and crud gather that the vacuum doesn't reach!

HQ armrests are a long way off we have just made the HK one using injection tooling as soon as the HK ones are on the market we will start making the HQ ones using injection tooling, If I had to guess I would say we will have HQ ones in about 11 months.

The HQ cowl panel sample required some minor correction and the tooling is currently being modified. It was very close but not 100%.We will test a new sample soon. It will have the dash pad retaining strip. Then then HJ one will be finished on the tooling and again a sample tested for acceptance. We have vehicles for testing of both HQ & HJ.
