    Upper Tail Gate Lock

Im tryin to get the upper tailgate lock keyed to the same key as the ignition and door keys!!
I took them to an older locksmith locally who conveniently also has a Black HJ/X/Z van as his work vehichle, so assumed he might be the one to know how it all works!!
He seems to have forgotten more than he wanted to and is not quite sure how the tailgate lock comes apart..
Any tips would be helpful thanx..
    Cheers in advance!!

Gaddy we replaced our ignition and door locks with rares cylinders, rodney thinks the lock guy said, they were based on what he called GMH 2, as it happens, the GMH 2 key would not fit into the backdoor cylinder. the back door cylinder was based on a GHH 1 pattern, but fortunately a GMH 1 key would fit in the rares cylinder as well, so he copied the GMH 2 to a GMH 1 so it would fit the door cylinders and ignition, and then set up the back door so the new key would work it, so now we have the same key to doors ignition and rear door, the glovebox is on a completley different key and couldnt be keyed alike which is like they were from factory anyways.

    hope that helps

I reckon they only had about 3 different keys between all HQ-WB. When I was at college a fair few people could open each others utes with their own keys.
